Kano (Kane Brett Robinson), a magnificent English rapper and grime music sensation was born on 21 May 1985 in East Ham, Newham, London. He is majorly known for his vibrant flow and wordplay on the mic. He came into notice on the UK grime scene for making efforts with his group “N.A.S.T.Y Crew”. His group’s secretive popularity became a springboard for him to become a solo artist.  Kano is signed to about 679 Recordings and is also the label-mate of “The Streets”.

He released his first debut solo single in the year 2004, “P’s & Q’s” and soon became a massive hit, making Kano a rising rap music superstar. Kano got nominated for 4 MOBO Awards in the year 2005 and won an award for Best Newcomer. Kano won an award for the “Best of British” at the first Channel U Awards. On 31 December 2005, he was announced to be one of “London’s Heroes of 2005” by the Mayor of London Ken Livingstone. In January 2006, he also got nominated for the BRIT Award for the Best Urban Act. He is also a playable character in the popular game called “Def Jam: Icon” and is the only British person to get featured in a game. Another single by Kano “This Is the Girl” which also featured Craig David was released on 10 September 10, 2007.

“Home Sweet Home” was a smashing critical success for him and also got amazing reviews by the British press, primarily in UK’s two leading newspapers: The Observer and The Independent. Several popular artists such as Busta Rhymes, Jay-Z, Andre 3000, Nas, RZA and Chuck D of Public Enemy in the UK and US gave positive views for his album. In 2012, his classic tracks were played repeatedly in the clubs and Kano continues to make a banger after banger because of his sheer hard work, brave moves and edgy creativity.
