T.I.: An Eminent American Recording Artist, Singer, Film and Music Producer and Actor
T.I. is a renowned American recording artist, rapper, singer, song-writer, actor and producer having an amazing list of occupations and honors. This Grammy award winner also launched his own collection of clothing line “Akoo” in the year 2008, featuring himself in its advertisements as the fitting face of the product. This Southern-born rap music super-star is known for being a breathtaking style icon and ranks amongst the top 10 trendiest men in America.
Initially known by his nick-name “Tip”, he soon labeled himself as T.I. He was born on 25 September 1980 and signed his first contract in teenage but he made his debut with “I’m Serious” in 2001, featuring production by “the Neptunes”, failed to impress the music lovers and T.I. was dropped from the label. He then co-founded Grand Hustle Records and commenced establishing a street buzz with a succession of mixtapes with DJ Drama and made guest appearance together with Killer Mike on Bone Crusher’s “Never Scared” in 2003. He released his second album “Trap Muzik” in 2003 which worked far better, including the release of hit tracks “24’s” and “Be Easy” in 2003 “Let’s Get Away” and “Rubber Band Man” in 2004. Following his sensational albums he came back with a banger “Urban Legend” in 2004, including some more hit tracks “Bring ‘Em Out”, “U Don’t Know Me” and “ASAP” in 2005. With his constant hits, he became a popular guest MC and appeared together with T-Pain on R. Kelly in “I’m a Flirt (Remix)”, Lil Wayne’s “Soldier” in 2005, Justin Timberlake’s “My Love” in 2006, Young Dro’s “Shoulder Lean” in 2006, and DJ Khaled’s “We Takin’ Over” in 2007.
He blew the music industry by storm in 2006 with a flood of sensational singles “What You Know” (“Why You Wanna” and “Top Back”. He also commenced his acting career in 2006, with a role in the movie “ATL” and in the same year he also played a role in Ridley Scott’s “American Gangster”. He released a several YouTube videos and finished the majority of his writing for his sixth album “Paper Trail”.
